Dry Polyacrylamide (Pam) Cationic Series

Description:

The Fisher series of Cationic flocculants are unique, ultra high molecular weight polymers offering the full range of Charge. They work effectively as coagulant aids or sludge conditioning agents in solid-liquid separation processes.

These products are especially effective where extreme high molecular weight products are required such as screw presses, belt presses, settling and pulping liquor clarification. The chemistry range available ensures there is a product suitable for the most demanding of applications.


Application:
  • DAF systems – resulting in clearer underflows and increased flow rates.
  • Belt Presses – dewatering of sludge.
  • Centrifugation – cleaner filtrate and solids compaction processes.
  • Gravity separation – improves floc formation and accelerated settling rates.
  • Mechanical dewatering – inorganic sludge’s are more easily processed and greater efficiency is achieved from process plant.
  • Coagulation Aid – settling aid used in conjunction with organic/inorganic coagulants.
  • Water Clarification – improves quality of influent and effluent waters by reducing turbidity and suspended solids.
  • Thickening – improved compaction/settling.
Preperation : Recommended working solutions can be prepared at up to 0.5% via an automated make-down system. Solutions should be allowed to age for a minimum of 30-60mins prior to use.

Secondary dilution is recommended to carry the polymer to the application point; we recommend that a ratio of 10:1 be used.

Avoid centrifugal pumps to convey polymers, as the shear forces will destroy the polymeric structure.
